MICCAI 2008 Tutorial
Saturday, September 6th 2008, 8am-12pm
New York University
Title: Interventional Ultrasound
Abstract: This tutorial will provide an insight to the emerging
field of interventional ultrasonography, which is a rapidly developing
technique for guiding minimally invasive surgical interventions. We will
explore the technical and clinical challenges that render interventional
ultrasound guidance so markedly different from conventional ultrasound
imaging. We will provide an in-depth view to some of the most relevant clinical
problems and explain particular approaches representing state-of-the-art.
This tutorial will be suitable for both new and established researchers
who want to take a fresh look at ultrasound guidance in minimally invasive
surgical interventions.
